Misty decontamination shower operates thanks to the spray water action to dampen the operator coverall (generally in Tyvek) outside, without getting him wet. Water spraying should adhere the dust on the personnel protective clothing. This helps to prevent any propagation of the dangerous particulate outside the relevant area.
To achieve this aim, the best solution is to saturate quickly the shower room spraying tears of 5-10 micron, in order to wet the surfaces and create water “pearls” on the clothes.
Depending on the contact time in the shower, water drops continue to grow until they roll softly from the coverall.

The decontamination water shower can be used in two ways, as follows:

1. WET FOG MODE – standard use with normal exposure to active dust. The operator uses the shower spraying and saturating the environment (drops of 5-10 µ), in order to contain volatile dust and allow a safe exit.
2. RAIN MODE – occasional use with excessive exposure to active dust. The operator uses the shower (drops of 50µ) generating a rain that allows the total washing of the coverall.

OPTIONS AND SPECIAL REALIZATIONS

• Contaminated garments storage. An hatch opening from the inside allows to eject and keep in a container, separate from the environment, the dirty garments. A “contninuous liner” system allows the operator to storage the dirty garments directly in a sack, with a safe change system, avoiding any kind of contamination during the recovery garments phase.
• Helmet storage. Inside the shower there is a Pass Box with a spray sanitizing solution, for the helmet “washing”, separately from the garments handling
